Andrew Goodwin's Theory of Music Video Construction
The theory is identifed into 3 different approaches to the structure of a music video, according to the relationship between the sound and the image.
I could use Goodwin's theory in my music video to either follow my genre's way or break the chain and use a different approach to my videos. R&B/Hip-Hop videos generally use Illustration for Music and Lyrics, but normally Amplification for Band Image. I could look to change this, but as my band is a new one, I cannot afford to take the risk and use Disconjucture for Lyrics as my target audience wouldn't understand me.
